Act 4, Scene 5
Fields without the town.
- [Enter DUKE in his own habit, and Friar PETER.]
- Duke Vincentio
- 2107 These letters at fit time deliver me.
- [Giving letters.]
- Duke Vincentio
- 2108 The provost knows our purpose and our plot.
- 2109 The matter being afoot, keep your instruction
- 2110 And hold you ever to our special drift;
- 2111 Though sometimes you do blench from this to that
- 2112 As cause doth minister. Go, call at Flavius' house,
- 2113 And tell him where I stay: give the like notice
- 2114 To Valentinus, Rowland, and to Crassus,
- 2115 And bid them bring the trumpets to the gate;
- 2116 But send me Flavius first.
- Friar Peter
- 2117 It shall be speeded well.
- [Exit FRIAR.]
- [Enter VARRIUS.]
- Duke Vincentio
- 2118 I thank thee, Varrius; thou hast made good haste:
- 2119 Come, we will walk. There's other of our friends
- 2120 Will greet us here anon, my gentle Varrius.
- [Exeunt.]
