  3. Edgar
  4. 2983 Here, father, take the shadow of this tree
  5. 2984 For your good host; pray that the right may thrive:
  6. 2985 If ever I return to you again,
  7. 2986 I'll bring you comfort.
  8. Gloucester
  9. 2987 Grace go with you, sir!
  10. [Exit Edgar]
  11. Gloucester
  12. 2988 .
  13. [Alarum and retreat within. R-enter Edgar.]
  14. Edgar
  15. 2989 Away, old man,—give me thy hand,—away!

  17. 2991 Give me thy hand; come on!
  18. Gloucester
  19. 2992 No further, sir; a man may rot even here.
  20. Edgar
  21. 2993 What, in ill thoughts again? Men must endure
  22. 2994 Their going hence, even as their coming hither;
  23. 2995 Ripeness is all:—come on.
  24. Gloucester
  25. 2996 And that's true too.
  26. [Exeunt.]
